Y., 30 July 1800, or 1799, as another record says; a farmer, cooper, and accountant; married in the Summer of 1822, at Marysburgh, Upper Canada, by Rev. Mr. McDole, Presbyterian, to <b>Eliza Wo od Squire</b>, dau. of Zalmon and Rowena (Harris) Squire, of Salem, N. Y., where she was born 20 Ap. 1806. They dwelt at Marysburgh till 1827; and then moved to Madoc, Upper Canada, now Ontario, where he died, 5 Sept. 1858, and was buried in Ful ler's Hill Cemetery. He was, for twelve years before his death, coroner, clerk of the 6th District Court, Hastings Co., C. W., and commissioner of the Court of Queen's Bench. His widow was living at Vassar, Mich., with her son, William Faucett e Riggs, in Ap. 1875; and at Trenton, Mo., with her youngest daughter, in Feb. 1876. 5791 1794 - II. <b>Martha Riggs</b>, b. at Butternuts, N. Y., 24 Sept 1804; married in Richmond, Upper Canada, <b>John Pringle</b>, a farmer, son of Joseph and Mary (Springsteen) Pringle, of South Fredericksburgh, U. C., where he was born, 18 May 1 785. They settled in Richmond, and there died (she, 30 Sept. 1863; he, 12 May 1872), and were buried in Napanee Cemetery. 5804 1795 - III. <b>Lewis Riggs,</b> b. in Hamilton Co., N. Y., 5 Nov. 1808; married <b>Harriet Ann Harris</b>; and was living, with his wife, at Wetmore, Kansas, in Ap. 1875. 5813 1796 - IV. <b>Martin Riggs</b>, b. at Lebanon, N. Y., 17 Oct 1811; a farmer; married, 16 Oct. 1837, at Madoc, C. W., by Rev. Michael Davy, Methodist Episcopal, to <b>Mary Jane Eager</b>, dau. of Aaron and Elizabeth (Bininger) Eager, of Madoc. S he was born at Salem, N. Y., 23 Feb. 1817. They dwelt in Madoc till 13 Jan. 1852; at Elzevir, C. W., till 1 March 1863; at Listowel, C. W., till 1 May 1865; then moved to Brookfield, Mo., arriving there 8 July 1875; and were living in that place , in March 1876. He has held various town offices.
