The information that i have my or may not help you, but here goes: Fay Washington Simpson Married Bessie Mae Cummings October 23, 1905 in Genesee Co, Michigan- Genesee Co Record V07/120/6909. They had Ross Ford Simpson May 28, 1906 (7 months after being married). They Divorced some time before Sept 29, 1915 when Fay married Bessie A. Handy in genesee co, MI Genesee co Record V08/204/2917 they too had a son Charles H. Simpson. I'm not sure what happened because i have yet to find her after this time. On February 18, 1922 fay again married, this time Beatrice Agnes Darling in Flushing, Genesee Co, MI genesee co Record V10/410/3058. they too had a son, Glen Fay Simpson July 1, 1934- this is my grandfather. some extra history. Anyway. Ross Ford Simpson married Gwendolyn L. Fuller of either Genesee co or Saginaw Co, Mi. her parents are Lyle and Gurnievia (Ames) Fuller. Ross and Gwen had no children. Ross was a machinist in a factory and Gwen was a secretary in electronics.they lived in Jackson, Jackson Co, Michigan near his mother Bessie Mae Shull.- this is the only name my grandfather remembers Bessie going by. Ross Ford Simpson 5/28/1906 genesee co, MI- 4/11/1966 Jackson Co, MI- i have his death certificate. Gwendolyn L. (Fuller) Simpson 5/26/1908 MI- 10/18/1986 Jackson Co, MI i have her death certificate. Bessie Mae (Cummings)Shull 1/11/1891 Genesee Co- 12/4/1961 Jackson Co, MI i have her death certificate- it lists her as being born in Saginaw, MI but she was born in genesee County according to records. Avery R. Shull 12/8/1891Indiana- 3/19/1969 Jackson Co, Mi i have his death certificate. i attached Ross and Bessie's headstone photo's. Avery, Bessie, Ross and Gwen are all buried together in Woodland Cemetery Jackson, Jackson Co, MI. Lot 340 Sec 14 (SG1, SG2, NG1, NG2) incase you were interested. i have a map of the lay out and photos of all four headstones. my grandpa just found a box of pictures in them i know there are several of Ross as a teenager with his dad and i have one of him and his mom and one of his cummings grandparents, i haven't scanned these yet but when i do i'll send them your way. As far as Charles goes, we never knew he existed up until a year ago when i was poking around on rootsweb. i have since obtained his death cert. & obit. i have tried to reach his daughter but have had no such luck to date. I live in Michigan and am only about 2 hours from Genesee County. i need to make a trip back down there in the next few weeks to get more death certs and obits. genesee county has an awesome collection of genealogy information. if you would like me to look up some info for you while i'm there just send me- names, dob or dod- all the newspapers are on micro flim. and friday's the genealogy group are at the courthouse on friday's and you can get death certs for practically nothing. i have only been to Jackson once and i had the best help at the cemetery, unfortuniately i only have Bessie and Avery's info because they own Ross & Gwen's plots. Bessie's headstone says Mae B so that threw me until i went to the courthouse. i hope this information helps you, if nothing else it intrigues you.
