married Norman Pringle on 5 Jan 1881 at Solon, Kent Co Mich. He was
born 13 March 1854 in Kingston, Ontario, Canada, the third of thirteen
children born to Alfred and Sarah (Fritz) Pringle. His occupation is
listed as hardware merchant. In 1872 he moved to Sand Lake, Mich.,
working as a carpenter and shingle manufacturer. In 1877 he was able
to purchase 40 acres in Solon township. He continued to enlarge his
holdings until finally purchasing fifty acres in Nelson township. When
this property was sold he entered into a partnership with M J
Blanchard st Sand Lake, selling furniture, hardware and undertakers
goods. In 1893 he took over sole ownership of the business, but the
'great fire' of 1895 destroyed his building and stock. In Feb 1896 he
purchased half-interest of E J Moody in the hardware, agricultural
equipment, buggy and wagon trade, and together they conducted business
until the fall of 1898, when Mr Pringle again became the sole
proprietor
