NAPOLEON -- Wilbert Ray Pringle Sr., 92, Napoleon, died at Thursday evening, July 12, 2007, at his home.
He was born March 14, 1915, in Sand Lake, Mich., the son of Homer and Margaret (Osgood) Pringle. In 1933, he married Mary "Madelyn" Pines, who survives. He was a graduate of the University of Wyoming and was an aeronautical engineer who helped w ith design and development of the first jet wing of the B-29. He worked for Howard Hughes as an engineer and for Rockadyne, developing and testing rocket engines. He was the owner of W.R. Pringle Co. in Malinta since 1969, where he was active i n the manufacturing and sales of furnace cleaner. He also was a pilot. He was a member of Upton Methodist Church, Masonic Lodge 38 and the Shriners of Canton, Ohio.
Also surviving are two daughters, Carolyn Brown of Napoleon and Margaret (Don) Thomas, Pottsboro, Texas; and 10 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren and 13 great-great-grandchildren.
Preceding him in death were a son, Wilbert Jr.; two brothers, Homer Jr. and Luther; and a granddaughter.
Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Greenwood Cemetery, Upton, Wyoming, with Rev. Gene Hagerman officiating. Local services will be private. Walker Mortuary, Napoleon, is handling arrangements.
Preferred memorials are to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation. |
