Mr. Homer Lynn Pringle Jr. , 82, of Big Piney, WY, died Thursday, November 22, 2001 of cancer at his home in Big Piney, WY.
He was born November 20, 1919 in Sand Lake, MI to Homer L. and Margaret (Osgood) Pringle. He was raised in Upton and graduated from Upton High School He attended University of Wyoming, graduating in 1942. Married in 1940 to Mary Beth Dumbrill, a lso of Upton, Homer served in the U.S. Navy during WW II aboard the aircraft carrier U.S.S. Copahee and was honorably discharged in 1945. He went into business with his father and brothers in Pringle Motor Company in Upton, WY. He was a longtim e public servant, having served as councilman, Mayor, county commissioner, and an appointed State Legislator. he went into semi-retirement in 1979 after Pringle Motor Company was destroyed by a fire. Following retirement, he enjoyed traveling, v isiting Michigan, Arizona, and family.
He was a veteran of World War II.
Visitation is scheduled for Monday, November 26, 2001, from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM at Worden Funeral Directors at 111 South Railway Ave., Newcastle, WY.
Services will be held Tuesday, November 27, 2001, at 2:00 PM at Upton United Methodist Church at 834 Pine Street, Upton, WY. Rev. Richard Clair and Rev. Richarfd Kalber will be officiating.
Burial will be at Greenwood Cemetery on Tuesday, November 27, at 3:00 pm.
