MAXTON — Mr. Ezra Locklear, of Maxton, was born Friday, May 28, 1937, in Robeson County to the late Rufus Locklear and Lucy Harris and departed this life on Jan. 22, 2017, at Southeastern Regional Medical Center, completing his journey of 79 yea rs. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Randall Logan Locklear; a daughter, Denise Locklear; a brother, Lewis Locklear; and two sisters, Marie Sanderson and Ola Young. Mr. Locklear leaves to cherish his memories his wife, Martha Locklear of the home; a daughter, Kimberley Steed (James) of Calabash, N.C.; three grandchildren, Courtney Carter, Forrest Steed, and Susannah Locklear; a great-grandchild; eight borro wed children; two special boys, Gaven and Rylan; his nephews and nieces; and a host of other relatives and friends.
