JOHNSON, RICHARD "DICK" 8/31/1938 - 9/3/2014 Richard "Dick" Johnson, 76, a lifetime resident of Lapeer, died Wednesday, September 3, 2014. He was born August 31, 1938 in North Branch to parents William and Lettie (Klauka) Johnson. Dick was raise d in Attica and graduated from Lapeer High School, class of 1956. He went on to serve his country proudly in the US Army. Dick was a tool maker at Pontiac Motors, retiring in 1997 after 32 years of service to General Motors. He married Donna Roc k on January 28, 1977 at Donna's mother's home in Otisville. Dick loved fishing, hunting and bowling. He also loved flowers and weeding his garden. Dick is survived by his wife: Donna Johnson of Lapeer; daughter, Sandra Kelsey of Lapeer; grandda ughter, Lisa (Jeremy) Poor of Grand Junction, CO; three great grandsons: Tommy, Johnny & Joey. He was preceded in death by his 1st wife Dorothy Johnson; son, Charles Kelsey, III; five sisters; four brothers; and his parents. Visitation will be 2 -8pm Thursday, September 4, 2014 at Muir Brothers Funeral Home, Lapeer. Dick's funeral will be 11:00am Friday, September 5, 2014 at Muir's, Pastor Arnold Bracy officiating. Burial will be in Stiles Cemetery, Lapeer with military honors under th e auspices of American Legion Post #16 Honor Guard. Memorial contributions may be made to the Muir Brothers Funeral Home.
