<fs="+2"><clr="000000">ORANGE<fs="+4"> — <font="Baskerville Old Face","roman",0></fs>Nina A. (Foster) Pierce. 105. of 40 Burrill Ave,, ihe oldest resident in town, died Saturday. May 1.1.2000 at the Quabbin Valley Healthcare.
Born July 7, 1894 in Athol. she was a daughter of Frank and Agnes (Champey) Foster. She attended Athol schools and had lived in this area all of her life. A resident of Orange since 1921, she had been a resident of the Quabbin Valley Heal thcare the past five years. In 1999 she was the grand marshal in the Harvest Parade in Orange.</clr>
<clr="000000">She enjoyed making cloth wreaths, afghans, crochet and especially raising children. She also prepared Thanksgiving meals along with her grandson, Gerald Canning, at the former Irish Pub, for those who needed a place to spend th e holiday.
She worked for Ray F. Cooke of Cooke's Wood Turning for 14 years until her retirement.</clr>
<clr="000000"> She was a former member of the Central Congregational Church in Orange.</clr>
<clr="000000"> Her husband of 52 years. Olin M. Pierce, died in 1964.
She is survived by a son, Lawrence Pierce of Orange; daughters, Mildred Dubay of Anna, Texas and Marion Sharpe of Orange; 37 grandchildren; 66 great-grandchildren; 75 great-great-grandchildren;one great-great-great-grandchild: several n ephews and nieces; and numerous friends from the Quabbin Valley Healthcare.
She was predeceased by sons. Clarence Pierce of California. Merle Pierce of Winchendon, Allan Pierce and Melvin Pierce, both of Orange and Russell Pierce of California; a daughter. Lillian Perkins of Baldwinville; a brother. Clifford Foste r of Athol and a sister, Mabelle Morton of Orange.</clr>
<clr="000000"> A funeral service will he held on Wednesday, May 17, at 10 a.m. in Witty's Funeral Home, with the Rev. Vance E. Frank officiating. </clr>
<clr="000000"> Burial will follow in South Cemetery.</clr>
<clr="000000"> Calling hours will be held Tuesday, May 16, from 7 to 9 p.m.<b> </b>at the funeral home.</clr>
<clr="000000"> In lieu of flowers, donations are suggested to the Salvation Army, 107 Ridge Ave., Athol. Mass. 01331, or to the charily of the donor's choice.</clr>
<clr="000000"> Willy's Funeral Home is directing arrangements.</clr>
